PATIENT FEEDBACK

Below is some of the feedback we have received from our patients at both Windsor and Landscape surgeries. We always appreciate suggestions and comments from our patients to let us know where we are performing well, and in which areas we can try and improve. 

Please have a read through some of the feedback we have received from our Patients.

"Generally the service is very efficient. However, I want to cancel an appointment for the next day and today is Thursday afternoon. How can I cancel that appointment for tomorrow morning before I leave to get to a hospital appointment at 7.30am. The phone just says the Surgery is closed and not open until 8.30 Friday morning at which time I am not able to ring them to cancel. Does this then make me one of last months abysmal record of 63 patients not turning up for an appointment? There is no facility for making any cancellation on the web or on the net, or by going into the surgery when it is closed."

We have three facilities available to cancel appointments when the surgery is closed. If you have a mobile number registered with us we send appointment reminders by SMS and you can cancel via text reply. Patients registered online with patient access can book and cancel their appointments online, as well as ordering repeat prescriptions and accessing a summary of their medical record. If you would like to register for either of these services, then please ask at reception. For Patient Access you will need to bring with you two forms of ID such as your passport, driving licence, birth certificate, or any of these documents dated within the last 12 months; bank statement, council tax statement, P60/P45.

"The doctors I have seen have been great. I did however want to register to get my prescriptions on line. I gave my driving licence but apparently this is not enough. I have been a patient at Garstang Medical Practice for many years and I would have thought this would have been sufficient."

Thank you for your feedback. You can use Patient Access to book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, change contact details and view part of your medical record online.

If you would like to register for Patient Access you can do so by visiting our reception desk, you must do so in person and bring with you two forms of ID, one presenting your photo and the other your address. For example your photo driving licence, passport, national 60+ bus pass, birth certificate, or any of these documents dated within the last 12 months; bank statement, council tax statement, P60/P45. Whilst this may seem a little formal for patients we have known many years, it is important that we adhere to a strict policy regarding this to ensure patient confidentiality is not compromised. Patient Access is only available to those aged 16 or over. Please note if you would like access to view part of your medical record (medications, allergies/adverse reactions,  immunisations, test results and coded data such as reason for consultation) there is also a consent form to complete in reception/online after reading the information leaflet. This leaflet explains the importance of security and keeping your information safe regarding online access. "I would like to give special praise to both Nurse Leslie Hardman and Nurse Practitioner Mandy Guthrie for their professional and sympathetic manner in treating me over the past few months."

"Dear Mandy, Just a quick note to let you know what your phone call on Friday night meant to me! You were right.. I would have been worrying about the blood results all weekend! A quick phone call meant all the difference...It showed you cared. You are a credit to the practice. Thanks a million."

Best GP practice I ever had

"Have been treated recently by a Dr who is incredibly competent and kind, solved my problem without the need for medication, which is the best result I ever had, unfortunately I am moving house soon and will need to register at a new GP practice, will be very lucky to find one as great as Landscape, would highly recommend them, whole team are fantastic and you can tell they enjoy their jobs and want to be there helping people. Excellent work everyone, thank you so much for all your help."

"With so much negativity in the media concerning access to medical care, my husband and I want to say Thankyou to the Winsor Surgery for more than twenty years of amazing care. I have had MS for 45 years and my husband had heart surgery 5 years ago. We have always had access to a Doctor, Nurse Practioner or Nurse if we have needed it and been treated with a high level of professionalism in a relaxed and comfortable way. The reception staff have done an excellent job in facilitating this. The District Nursing team do a great job too. I'm really grateful they are there when I need them. Today the staff made it possible for me to get the help I needed really quickly. So thank you all very much.. "

Very efficient service

"Over the weekend of 9/10 January I was not very well. Monday morning I rang the surgery and got through pretty quick.The nice mannered receptionist managed to get me an appointment for the afternoon with the doctor (who had a trainee doctor with them) I was asked about my problem and the thoroughness the two doctors went to was very impressive.I just want to let you know how good the service at the surgery was. Thank you"
